Just a quick note to say Thank You for signing up for my mailing list. I really appreciate your interest! The site is being worked out and will be up and running within the next few weeks.
To kick things off, we're planning to do a gear giveaway ~ the guys from Yamaha, Zildjian, Drum Workshop, Remo and Regal Tip have all contributed some gear in support of my website and we'll be giving those items away to folks on the mailing list. There'll be 36 pairs of signed drumsticks from Regal Tip, a brass piccolo snare from Yamaha, a DW bass drum pedal, a dozen snare drumheads from Remo, cymbals from Zildjian and more stuff TBA.
I'm getting quite a few questions sent in via email, and I will try to respond as quickly and as much as possible. Please understand if it takes a little while, as I am out on the road a lot. But please feel free to mail in general questions to Keith@KeithCarlock.com and we'll try to collect the Q/A into a FAQ page or pages on the website.
Fortunately, I have been really busy the last year. Recording and then touring with Steely Dan was such a blast! I had the time of my life playing with those guys! The audiences were so great, and the music was really inspiring. Almost immediately after that tour ended, I started working with Sting in preparation for the upcoming tour next year! (ticket and tour info below). So far we have only been doing TV/promo dates in the US and Europe. The first leg of the North American tour kicks off on January 23, 2004 in Miami. I am really looking forward to this one... should be fun!
Well, that's about it for now - We'll keep you posted as we add items to the website (bio, discography, FAQ, music, video, gear, pix, etc...) and I hope to be posting from the road as well.
