Hi Everyone!

We hope your summer is off to a great start! Lots of exciting stuff to report in this update!

The July 2009 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine is on the stands and the results of the 2009 Modern Drummer Readers Poll have been announced. We were [happily] blown away by the results! Keith won three categories: Best All-Around, Best Pop Drummer and Best Fusion Drummer. Keith was also a runner-up in the Studio voting and finished in the money with a #3 Best Recorded Performance for Walter Becker's "Circus Money."

Keith writes, "I'm still in a state of shock over the Modern Drummer poll. Although I was never the sort of artist who thought of music as a competition, It's personally and professionally very rewarding to have fellow drummers vote for me in the polls and let me know that they appreciate what I do. I'm really humbled by all the attention and will try to live up to this honor! Thanks to everyone who made this happen!"

Steely Dan's 2009 Tour is shaping up and includes some unique new setlists. There will be multi-night gigs with entire albums performed, special internet-voting for setlists, VIP packages and more. Check it all out on SteelyDan.com.

Once the lights go down on the Steely Dan tour, Keith is on the road again with James Taylor. A handful of US gigs have been announced with more to come. See below or visit JamesTaylor.com for the latest. Hope you can make it to a show!

RUDDER, Keith's critically-acclaimed band w/Henry Hey, Chris Cheek and Tim Lefebvre has a new CD out. Entitled "Matorning", it's getting amazing reviews. RUDDER will be playing Wednesday, August 12th at "Le Poisson Rouge" in NYC! It's an early show...starts at 7pm! please make note and spread the word!

Keith recorded a new STUDIO record with Wayne Krantz and Tim Lefebvre in early March. The CD, to be released by the Abstract Logix label, will be appropriately entitled, "Krantz Carlock Lefebvre" and will be available very soon! The band also makes a guest appearance on Keith's new instructional DVD...
